Aprils’s News
Welcome to our Newsletter. We have a lot of exciting things planned across the nursery to make the most of the beautiful spring time.
Babies
This month in Baby Room, our topic is ‘Spring!’ In addition to singing and story time activities, the babies will also have the opportunity to get super messy and creative in their play! We will be painting our very own beautiful butterflies using different colours to go up on our display board and will be planting cress in egg shells. It’s going to be so much fun!
Additionally, as spring has finally sprung, we will be going on some lovely walks to see all the different kinds of flowers that have bloomed within the local area. I wonder what we’ll see?
Tweenies
This month, our topic is ‘Spring!’ During circle times, we will be talking all about this lovely time of year and will be discussing how the weather changes and how flowers bloom. As a group, we will also be talking all about the different baby animals that are born around this season from chicks or lambs!
The children will also have the opportunity to get messy and creative in their play as we make some beautiful blossom trees using pink tissue paper and rabbit using recycled toilet rolls. It’s going to be brilliant!
Pre-school
This month, our topic is ‘Spring!’ During circle times, we will be focusing on all the different animals and insects that we see during the beautiful time of year. We will be talking all about the lifecycle of a butterfly and will also be playing a matching game using pictures of animals and their babies. I wonder what kind of animals we will find?
Additionally, to make the most of the glorious spring weather, we are also planning on planting our very own sunflowers using seeds, soil, water and a lot of sunlight. The children will also have the opportunity to get messy and creative in their play as we make some beautiful blossom trees using pink tissue paper and play with the soil and gardening tools in the messy tray.
