August’s News!
Welcome to our August Newsletter! We have a lot of exciting things planned across the nursery to continue to make the most of the wonderful summer time.
Baby Room
This month, our focus is under the sea! We have many fun activities planned for our babies such as ocean themed sensory play and making our very own, colourful rainbow fish for your little one to take home. We will also be singing some of our favourite ‘under the sea’ inspired songs during circle time and will introduce our themed flash cards.
We will also be making the most of the glorious sunshine by playing with the sea creatures out in the garden. As we will be spending some time outdoors, could we please ask that you bring in a hat each day as the weather is very hot at the moment. Thank you.
Tweenies
This month, our focus is summer! We have many fun activities planned for our tweenies such as making some yummy ice lollies, playing in the paddling pool with our friends and painting our own flip flops to take home. Could we please ask that you put some swimwear into your child’s bag for any paddling pool fun we may have.
We are also planning on making the most of the glorious sunshine by going on a lovely walk to the local park for a Teddy Bear’s Picnic! As we will be spending some time outdoors, could we please ask that you bring in a hat each day as the weather is very hot at the moment. Thank you.
Pre-school
We have a very exciting month planned as we say goodbye to our big children embarking on their journeys to school. We will miss every single one of pre-school children and wish them the best of luck on their new adventures!
Our topic this month is ‘Summer and Holidays!’ As some of you go away on some wonderful holidays, we will talk about different holiday destinations and will also be making some lovely pieces of artwork for your little one to take home. We will be making our own passports and some tasty ice lollies! Please could you bring in your child’s swimming costume for any paddling pool fun we may have. Thank you.
Reminders
*At last month’s charity garden party, we raised over £1000! Thank you so much to everyone who attended and donated.
*Please be aware that as of September 2018, our nursery fees will increase slightly. You will receive an email with further details shortly.
*For health and safety reasons, please do not open the door for other parents or carers as we will buzz them in.
*If you are planning on going away, please only inform us on the days that your child will definitely not be attending as other parents may book extra sessions in your absence. If you would like to review the dates that you have already given us, please contact Christie on bluebellsbeb@gmail.com
