Bebington Newsletter – June

June’s News!

Welcome to our Newsletter. We have plenty of exciting activities planned across the Nursery to make the most of the beautiful sunshine!

Baby Room

This month in Baby Room, our focus ‘Nature!’ During circle times, we will be singing songs and reading stories about all the different types of minibeasts and insects that live in nature around us, from spiders and butterflies to bees and ladybirds, before we go outdoors to see if we can find any.

The babies will also have the opportunity to play and explore with a range of natural materials, such as sticks and leaves, that we have collected from our local community in our nature tuff tray. In addition, we will be making many beautiful pieces of artwork to display up on the walls. There’s so much to look forward to!

Tweenies

This month in Tweenie Room, our focus is ‘Nursery Rhymes and Our Favourite Stories!’ During circle times, we will be singing some of our very favourite nursery rhymes from ‘Humpty Dumpty’ to ‘Miss Polly’ and will also be visiting the library for story times. I wonder what books we’ll find?

The children will also have the opportunity to get super artsy as the sponge paint Humpty Dumpty’s brick wall and glue and stick Mary Had A Little Lamb’s coat on using cotton wool. We will even be having our very own Teddy Bear’s Picnic in the garden. How exciting!

Pre-School

This month in Pre-School, our focus is ‘Letters, Shapes, Colours and Numbers!’ The children will be taking part in many different activities to familiarise themselves with a variety of 2D shapes. We will be making our very own shape rockets using triangles, squares, rectangles and circles, and will also be looking around the environment to see what shapes we can find in everyday objects.

The children will also have the opportunity to get super creative and messy in their play as we experiment with mixing the primary colours in addition to forming numbers in shaving foam. We have a very busy month ahead of us. We can’t wait!
