January’s News!
Happy New Year! We have a lot of exciting things planned across the nursery to start the year in the best way we can.
Baby Room
Our topic this month is ‘Winter Wonderland!’ We will be getting very creative as we paint and decorate our own hats, scarfs and gloves and will also be making welly-boot prints! There’s so much to look forward to!
The babies are also going to have a lovely time visiting and playing in our local park. We will be wrapping up nice and warm before a winter’s walk with all of our friends. How fun!
Tweenies
This month, our topic is ‘People Who Help Us.’ During circle times, we will be talking about the various different professions that help us throughout of lives, from police officers to firefighters to teachers, and will be discussing our past experiences with them.
We also have plenty of role play and arts and crafts activities planned, such as dressing up and painting, for the children to get creative and imaginative in their play. It’s going to be fantastic!
Pre-school
This month, our topic is ‘Mini-beasts!’ We will be focusing on various different insects and will be discussing the similarities and differences between them before going on an exciting adventure in the garden to look for some. I wonder what we’re going to find?
The children will also have the opportunity to hunt for mini-beast toys in the sand pit and will be creating their very own ladybird or bumblebee, using paint and a paper-plate, to take home with them. It’s going to be so much fun!
