November’s News
Welcome to our Newsletter! We have many exciting activities planned across the nursery to make welcome the festive season.
Baby Room
Our topic this month is ‘A Splash of Colour!’ We will be focusing on the wonderful colours that we see during this time of year and will celebrate Bonfire Night by making some fantastic firework pictures by flicking fluorescent paint onto paper. How exciting!
Towards the end of the month, we will also begin our festive Christmas folders. There will be cards, decorations and so much more! There’s so much to look forward to!
Tweenie Room
Our topic this month is ‘Light and Colour!’ We will be focusing on the wonderful colours we see around us through celebrating upcoming holidays such as Diwali, Bonfire Night and Remembrance Day. The children will be making some brilliant tea-light lanterns, firework display paintings and red poppies to take home. It’s going to be so much fun!
Towards the end of the month, we will also begin our festive Christmas folders. There will be cards, decorations and so much more! There’s so much to look forward to!
Pre-school
Our topic this month is ‘Winter!’ We will be focusing closely on how our surroundings change during this time of year through making some winter collages and will be talking about how we can keep warm in the cold weather. To celebrate Bonfire Night, we will also be making some fantastic firework display paintings! How exciting!
Towards the end of the month, we will also begin our festive Christmas folders and will start to learn some festive songs for our Christmas Carol Concert. We can’t wait!
Reminders
*As the weather is getting cold, please bring in a coat, hat and gloves for your child to make sure that they are nice and cosy when playing outside. If you also have wellies, please feel free to bring those in as well for wet, muddy days.
*We will close on 24/12/2018 at 3:00pm this year and will open again 02/01/2019 in the new year. We hope that you all have a fantastic Christmas.
*Pre-school will be having a Christmas Carol Concert next month and will begin learning their festive songs now! More details will follow soon. We can’t wait for you to see!
